  1. I’m glad you shared this Josh! I’ve been in the business now 4 years and started when I was 19 also here in NJ. I think all of us young hungry guys go into it with so much confidence until we get hit with the reality of the difficulty the job can bring. When I started there was literally no one my age and it got lonely. Now I see a lot of younger guys getting licensed and I notice a lot of them give up on the industry early. The broker I started with had so many fees which if I had known better I would’ve been with another company. So my first year I ended up only making 4k(if I had the split I have now it would’ve been 10k). Luckily my uncle has a landscaping company so that helped me eat throughout that year. This has been my best year so far and have lived comfortably but am nowhere near the level I thought I’d be at 23. Don’t give up brother this biz is long term!

  2. Getting my real estate license through a program in my high school. I’ve saved working part time at a job & investing into stocks so I wouldn’t have to worry about money next year. This is my dream down here in south Texas!

  3. I’m in the process of being a realtor in Dallas. I’m just doing my research. I love hearing others experience

  4. So how u become big In real estate then. Is it worth the time n career? Or should u just leave it. I'm really into it?

  5. do beginner real estate agents work a 9-5 schedule a day? or do they have 2nd jobs to provide income since beginners usally don’t see anything until a couple months

  6. Thank you so much for sharing this. It's bee fun to watch your journey. I'm excited to see what you'll accomplish.

  7. Really enjoy your content and transparency. Commissions seam high until you take out your brokerage percentage, gas, and other expenses.

  8. Can really reckon with this. In real estate, persistence and consistence is a must have attribute. You gat to find and have it, if you must succeed in real estate journey.

  9. People should talk about the amount of money us agents should save up money to survive I throw myself into business without income I thought it was just the license and nothing more found out this is one of the most expensive carriers all fees we pay as agents are ridiculous on top of that I’m with Keller Williams they charge for copies is ridiculous I ended up working as a real estate assistant part time to try to survive never been so broke in mi life

  10. Very well laid out and presented as usual, Joshua!
Yeah, I'm not from a sales background, so effort
not being equal to results is an especially hard pill to swallow.

  11. I know a lot of real estate agents who quit after six months of not getting a listing closed. Most of those never came back to the profession. A few did, and now they realize that they were two feet away from gold the entire time.

  12. IMPROTANT takeaways

1.) if you’re comfortable you’re not working hard enough
    2.) don’t take short cuts
3.) stay organized, consistent, and planned

  13. Thank you for your content Joshua!! You keep pumping out good videos and being so transparent on how your journey is. It’s honestly rough being new to the business and hard to find others to talk to about it and relate with. It helps hearing others share and motivates me to keep pushing! I’m 6 months in and I have been discouraged but I know that if I stick with it I will meet my goals. Thanks again and keep killin it!!

  14. I couldn’t agree more with all those points! It’s hard to stay motivated when things don’t go as you hoped they would! Dealing with this right now!

  15. The real estate journey is what I really like about this channel. Keep posting videos like this one very honest very transparent love to see it. You’re going to be great!

  16. I did horrible for my first 6 months ..just made 0 dollars.. but I'm not giving up..I gotta stay consistent!! I got Shiny object syndrome

  17. Another good video man. My first 6 months were terrible too. I made about $7,000, which is just over $1,000/month. Very hard to live on that lol. Luckily I stuck with it because now the income is INSANELY GOOD, all thanks to YouTube 👊🏽

  18. the brokeage i plan on working with in florida has leads that basically do all the work, and i pay their share at closing

  19. Hey so I do have a question I just passed all of my tests and submit all of my paperwork to the division (I’m from Vegas) and my license will go to my brokerage between 6-8 weeks during that time with your first month, what did you do or what would’ve you changed?

  20. Came in business the same time as you, Josh! Are there any new real estate agents around the world? Got the idea to connect and share knowledge and good things about our markets. I am from Ukraine
